NACCO Materials Handling Group (“NMHG”) donated an electric pallet jack to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Greenville.  The Greenville Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC (FBCENC) uses a critical piece of equipment like a pallet jack to distribute more than 7 million pounds of food annually to agencies such as local rescue missions, food pantries, soup kitchens, after school and senior programs in 10 eastern North Carolina counties. The pallet jack was delivered to the Greenville warehouse at 497 West Ninth Street on Friday, March 30.

“NACCO has partnered with the Food Bank Greenville in so many ways over the years from financial donations that provide summer meals to children and their families to this recent equipment donation,” said Will Litchfield, Chairperson of the Food Bank’s Greenville Branch Regional Council. “NACCO and its employees truly make a difference in our community.

“NMHG has a long history of being very involved in community activities on an individual basis and as a company and are glad we could help,” said Kurt Kern, Plant Manager, NACCO Materials Handling Group It is very important that we are     involved to improve the quality of life across our community.”
