Held on Thursday, March 15th, the groundbreaking ceremony for TVH Parts Co's Warehouse Expansion was a successful event. (Mayor) Michael Copeland, (President of Olathe Chamber of Commerce) Tim McKee, (TVH CEO) Els Thermote, (Harmon's VP of Operations) Todd Ramsey, (TVH VP) Frank Carter and (TVH Facilities Manager), Dirk Von Holt (VP, Sales and Marketing) Earl Roche took part in the groundbreaking along with several others.
TVH on March 15th broke ground on a $10 million expansion to its Olathe, Kansas operations and will remodeling existing space. The expansion will give TVH an additional 213,018 sq ft. with a completion date of late October. “Several years ago, when Olathe planned to construct the interchange at South Lone Elm Road and Interstate highway 35, “We knew it would lead to hundreds of millions in investment and thousands of jobs”, Olathe Mayor Michael Copeland said in announcing the TVH expansion during his March state-of-the-city address. TVH formerly known as Systems Material Handling Company (SMH) effective January 1, 2012 opened a 226,694 sq. ft. facility in January 2006 and added another 97,619 sq. ft. that was completed in September 2007.
