Koch Logistics announces new, expanded roles for 3PL team members
New roles help deliver smarter supply chain connections

Darren Nelson has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at Koch Logistics.

Koch Logistics has promoted three team members to help deliver smarter supply chain connections for customers.

Darren Nelson has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing. Since joining Koch Logistics in 1999, Nelson has helped customers simplify their complex logistics issues so they can be more profitable and productive. Going forward, Nelson will integrate his more than 17 years in the transportation industry to direct the sales and marketing efforts at Koch Logistics.

Carrie Torreson has been named Senior Business Systems Manager. A member of the Koch team since 1995, and with more than 18 years transportation experience, Torreson manages the Information Management Team (also known as the Tracking & Tracing department). She is responsible for creating custom reporting both internally and for clients, as well as software testing and updates for dispatch tools. Torreson is also a member of the Quality Team, accountable for implementing new accounts and projects, process improvements and timely issue resolution.

Meg Schmidt-Duncan has been named Senior Manager, Carrier Relations. With more than 29 years in the transportation sector, Schmidt-Duncan brings deep industry knowledge across a diverse group of vendors to manage carrier partnerships for Koch Logistics. Primary responsibilities include negotiating LTL carrier contracts and detailed performance and pricing analysis. She is a past President of the CSCMP Twin Cities Roundtable and an active member of NASSTRAC, participating on the Advocacy Committee which lobbies to support infrastructure investment and promote the transportation industry.
