SPG International hires Vice President and Chief Information Officer

SPG International, LLC (SPG) is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. Stephens as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer.  Stephens will be responsible for streamlining and enhancing service delivery, reforming management and operational IT practices and overseeing the company’s technology strategy.  He will report directly to President and CEO, Steven E. Darnell.

A senior executive with a broad background in negotiations and logistics operations, Stephens most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at The Great American Hanger Company where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the company including IT, finance, supply chain management, product development and warehousing.  Prior to The Great American Hanger Company, Stephens served as Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Excalibur Electronics, where he was in charge of providing strategy and leadership to his team.

Stephens’ contributions will ensure SPG’s continued success in providing the broadest range of storage solutions for the market. “I look forward to joining the SPG team and utilizing my experience to facilitate future growth and success,” said Stephen.  “I am committed to playing a key role in delivering high quality solutions to the clients.”

Stephens earned his Bachelors Degree from Georgia State University.
