Sky-Trax names Tony West Vice President of Business Development
Sky-Trax Inc. announced the hiring of Tony West as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Mr. West will be responsible for building client relationships by helping them achieve their operational goals and business strategies through the purchase and implementation of Sky-Trax solutions.

“With the addition of Tony West to the Sky-Trax management team, we have addressed a priority need at Sky-Trax,” says Larry Mahan, Sky-Trax President and COO. “Tony brings a proven record of ability and results with sales force and channel development, revenue growth, and successful technology sales in environments ranging from startup companies to Fortune 100 companies. We are very excited to have Tony’s leadership and energy working for Sky-Trax.”

Mr. West joins Sky-Trax with more than 20 years of experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), shared services, management consulting, and software development, sales and implementation across multiple industries and countries.

Prior to joining Sky-Trax, Mr. West was President of West Group Professional Services, where his clients included corporations such as Cox Enterprises, Johnson & Johnson, the Bank of Montreal and GE Energy. 

“Establishing new opportunities and developing relationships includes understanding a client’s needs and their operational processes from purchasing to implementation,” says Mr. West. Plus, the way companies buy our product is complex. It may be through a 3rd party logistics handling company, a value added reseller or purchased directly from Sky-Trax.”

Mr. West will leverage the full 360 degree knowledge and experience of being a buyer, a seller and an installer. 

“Sky-Trax solutions are unique in that companies can acquire, implement, and achieve a return on investment in 12 months,” adds Mr. West. “In today’s economic environment that is critically important to our clients. Building client relations that continue beyond implementation will strengthen Sky-Trax’s position.”

During his career, he has held several senior executive positions with firms such as Corporate Executive Board, where he led the creation of a BPO research track and successfully launched market expansion in Europe; Westcorp Software, where as Chief Operating Officer, he led the transformation of multiple software products to an internet delivery model; Vice President at Per-Se Technologies, where he assisted with the successful reorganization and divestiture of multiple business units; and Coopers and Lybrand Consulting, where as Regional Director he led the expansion of ERP implementation practices.

Mr. West, a veteran of the US Navy, holds a BA in Industrial Psychology from the University of Colorado and Metropolitan State College.  He began his career with IBM, where he held positions in Manufacturing, Distribution, Corporate Security, and Marketing and Sales.
