JCB welcomes Dougherty Equipment Company as a full line dealer in South Carolina

JCB announces Dougherty Equipment Company as the new full line JCB dealer covering all of South Carolina with the exception of Hampton, Jasper and Beaufort counties. Dougherty Equipment will rent and sell the full range of JCB construction equipment through 4 full service locations. They bring over 100 certified technicians throughout South Carolina to ensure the best customer service available. Much like JCB, Dougherty Equipment Company is a family owned business. Mike Dougherty, the owner and CEO has over 40 years of experience in the equipment industry. Starting his career with Yale Lift Trucks as an account salesman in the Chicago area, he quickly gained experience and grew his role within the organization. He moved to North Carolina to open his first dealership in Greensboro over 25 years ago. With a reputation built on hard work and dedication to the customer, Dougherty knows what it takes to get the job done. He is involved in the day to day business and takes the open door approach. His employees and customers know they can call him any time. "I have one policy- take care of the customer- It's just that simple. I know that it's the customer that pays the bills, not me- so they are the center of everything we do", says Dougherty.

It was Dougherty Equipment Company's desire to expand their offerings to meet their customer's needs that attracted them to the JCB product line. Over the years they have seen their customers' needs grow to include a product offering outside the traditional industrial sector which they served. JCB's extensive range of equipment filled that need and complimented their existing products. "I had peripheral knowledge of JCB and began following them more closely when they built their state of the art manufacturing facility in Savannah. I have been looking for ways to grow my business and when I heard the success one of my fellow Yale dealers was having by adding the JCB range of equipment, I saw the tremendous opportunity it presented in South Carolina", says Mike Dougherty.
