JTS launches Corporate Sales and Marketing division and Sales & Operations Specialist position

Johanson Transportation Service (JTS), a third-party supply chain solutions provider, announces the launch of a new corporate sales and marketing division which will be based in Madison, Wisconsin. In support of this launch, JTS has promoted Lance D. Roberts to VP of Sales and Marketing and has hired Sarah Baumann to the position of Marketing Manager. Roberts joined JTS in April 2003 as an agent and was promoted in 2003 to Director of Sales of the dairy division. In 2005 he launched the regional office in Madison, Wisconsin, successfully making it an $18 million operation. During that time he completed his MBA from the University of Phoenix in April of 2007.  

JTS also has announced the addition of Jeffrey Carpenter as Sales & Operations Specialist in the Portland, Oregon office. In recent efforts to expand the Non-Perishable division's sales and logistics capabilities, Carpenter will be responsible for freight movement in the western eleven states.  Carpenter, with seven years logistics experience, was most recently employed at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. and NPE, Inc., a carrier based in Eugene, Oregon.  Gordon Bennett, VP Northwest Region for JTS, says the hiring of Carpenter will "enable us to leverage his experience and networking skills to support our existing freight business and achieve our growth goals for the Non-Perishable division by capturing new carriers and customers in the northwest."
