Container and Pallet Services, Inc. (CAPS), a supply chain management company formerly based in San Francisco, has relocated to Livonia, Michigan. The move puts CAPS closer to its core automotive and food and beverage industry customers and follows the introduction of Robert J. Wiedmaier as Chief Executive Officer.
Wiedmaier, who joined CAPS in March, is a senior supply chain, operations and business development professional with more than 25 years experience, most recently as president of Performance Solutions, Inc. Wiedmaier also served as vice president and corporate officer for Ryder Logistics, Inc. in their logistics and supply chain management group. He has a successful record of enhancing customer satisfaction and company profitability.
Wiedmaier is active with the Council of Logistics Management, Warehouse Education and Research Council, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
"I am very excited to lead the CAPS team," said Wiedmaier. "Our business model and service capabilities provide cost effective solutions for a multitude of industries. CAPS has a proven and tested track record throughout North America for developing and executing reusable equipment programs that complement and integrate our customers supply chains."
