Mark A. Sowka recently assumed the post of President and CEO of Wholesale Fork Lifts, provider of material handling equipment headquartered in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Sowka completed the purchase of Wholesale Fork Lifts and assumed control of operations on June 3, 2004.

Previous to the acquisition of WFL, Sowka was a Senior Executive and Corporate Vice President with Continental AG. During his twelve years with Continental, he gained extensive experience managing a number of domestic and international organizations. In addition to his responsibility for financial and operating performance, Sowka also directed formulation and implementation of long term strategies. During this time, he led a number of major restructuring and business expansion initiatives, and maintained a track record of consistent quality and financial improvement.

Prior to joining Continental, Sowka was responsible for mission planning and operations for satellite systems for Hughes Aircraft Company.
