Roura Iron Works announces the appointment of Curtis A. (Curt) Harrison to the position of President and CEO replacing Lawrence R. Quinn who retired effective August 31, 2003 after 33 years of service with the company. Larry will continue as Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Curt comes to Roura Iron from General Motors Corporation where he served in several executive positions in Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing. Curt was most recently assigned as Senior Advisor to the New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. facility, a General Motors and Toyota joint venture, in Fremont, California. Prior to that assignment he held the positions of General Chief Metallurgist for GM's Casting Division and Director of Purchasing for GM Powertrain's North American operations. Curt is a member of American Society for Metals and the American Foundry Society.
Roura Iron Works, Inc. produces self-dumping hoppers and related custom fabricated products for the material handling industry. They have manufacturing facilities in Clinton Twp., Michigan and Holly Springs, Mississippi.
