Flight Systems Industrial Products (FSIP) has announced it is relocating to a new facility in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. FSIP is currently located in a 24,000 square foot building in Mechanicsburg, PA. Due to significant growth, it has outgrown this location. FSIP will move in to the newly renovated 47,000 square foot facility located on Route 11 between Carlisle and Mechanicsburg in mid-August 2003. The new building will allow for productivity enhancements as well as growth potential for the future.
FSIP was created in 1996 when Flight Systems, Inc. sold its lift-truck and battery-powered portions of its business to The Brynavon Group, a private investment firm. FSIP moved in to its current Mechanicsburg facility with 21 employees. Over the past seven years, FSIP increased employment to over 60 and outgrew its facility.
FSIP plans to move during the month of August. During the move, FSIP anticipates no "down time" to its thousands of dedicated customers who rely on FSIP to keep fleets up and running everyday.
"It's through the hard work and dedication from all of FSIP's employees and the growing relationships with OEMs, Dealers, and end users that FSIP was able to expand during these shaky economic times," states Steve Lloyd, Director of Sales & Marketing. "Most of this growth should be accredited to our 'young and aggressive' management team."FSIP will hold an open house to thank its employees and customers on September 22, 2003 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new facility.
