Schneider Packaging Equipment Co. Inc. will demonstrate its newest Robotic Vertical Carton/Case Loader (RCCL) equipped with two FANUC Robotics Delta (spider) robots for specialty cartoning, case loading, and high-speed pick and place applications at Pack Expo, Las Vegas Convention Center, September 26-29, 2011 in Booth 2018.

Designed to handle multiple products and packing combinations, the RCCL/Spider uses two multi-axis spider robots to locate, inspect, and orient product for high speed nesting into a carton. Equipped with advanced vision guided robotics, even products with a complex shape can be tightly packed, minimizing packaging materials and maximizing sustainability. A modular design increases throughput and can be configured to top load cartons, cases or trays, in combination or separately, on the same line.

The system can be configured with FANUC robotic arms or delta style robots, depending on the application requirements, and supplied with case/tray and/or carton erectors and sealers, shrink bundlers, labelers, palletizers and stretch wrappers for a complete, flexible, high speed end of line solution.

“As FANUC Robotics largest volume integrator in the North American packaging industry, we are able to leverage our advanced robotic and product handling capabilities to address even the most challenging packaging requirements our customer’s face,” says Terry Zarnowski, Director of Sales and Marketing for Schneider Packaging. “Our customers demand innovative, flexible, efficient and easy to own solutions that make them stand out from their competition, and we deliver.”

The system is designed for very high efficiency (OEE), rapid changeovers, simple maintenance, lower total cost of ownership, smaller footprint, and sustainable operations. The RCCL’s design easily accommodates additional modules/robots for increased production.
